Welcome to episode 142 of the Commander's Guild: "Lightning Unleashed". Every week I go to scryfall.com and randomly select a card, making a budget (under $100) commander deck around it and showcasing a gameplay video of the deck. This week I'm joined by Doodle, Jason, and Bilal.

This week's random card is Lightning Reaver and uses Exava, Rakdos Bloodwitch as the commander. Since Lightning Reaver and Exava both care about creatures having counters we may as well load the deck up with proliferate, modified synergies, backup, unleash, and any other card that cares about counters in the Rakdos colors. Normally, that strategy is in Blue/Green/White so this deck takes advantage of some of the often overlooked cards for the counter strategy.
