The Mind Flayer pirate Captain N’ghathrod has got a new spelljammer, a fresh crew of horrors and a hunger for coin and brains, leading him to to join us as our first commander from the Battle of Balur's Gate precon's we'll be covering, where he and his horrors will digging all sorts of treasures from our opponents graves and turning them right back against their previous owners.

In this build, we’ll be aiming to lean heavily into N'ghathrod’s ability to empower horrors to get in for damage and mill our opponents to get as much value out of their graveyards as possible. That of course means we’ll be swapping in a bunch of naturally evasive horrors which N'ghathrod’s menance will make even more difficult to block, supplemented by other non-horror forms of mill, to fill our opponents bins as quickly as possible to that our newly added enemy reanimation and clones can ripe their best creatures, artifacts, and spell from their bins to use against them – forcing them to face their own threats again and again until they finally succumb to our tide of horrors and creatures they once thought to be on their side.
