Welcome to episode 88 of the Commander's Guild: "It's All Ogre Now" Every week I go to scryfall.com and randomly select a card, making a budget (under $100) commander deck around it and showcasing a gameplay video of the deck. This week I'm joined by Bilal, Jason, and Shawn.
This week's "random" card (it was actually suggested by Skiown on Patreon/Discord) is Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder and he's also the commander. One unique thing about Yidris is that he's actually an Ogre so why not try to make an Ogre Tribal deck? Now, admittedly, there aren't any cards that really care about us having ogres so our main game plan is to flood the board with big creatures, use generic lord effects to pump them up, and then run over our opponents with multiple combat steps.
If you have suggestions for any future deck ideas (or want to request a specific card to build around), let me know in the comments. Hope you enjoy it!
