Welcome to episode 144 of the Commander's Guild: "How Many Lords is Too Many Lords?". Every week I go to scryfall.com and randomly select a card, making a budget (under $100) commander deck around it and showcasing a gameplay video of the deck. This week I'm joined by Bilal, Luke, and Josh.
This week's random card is a three-for-one with Scion of the Ur-Dragon, Maskwood Nexus, and The World Tree (all suggested by Tyler Esmay on Patreon) and uses Scion of the Ur-Dragon as the commander. Why play a deck that cares about dragons or gods when we can play a deck that cares about every creature type in existence? Got an obscure lord that pumps Centaurs but not sure what to do with them? This is the deck for you! We're playing as many lords as possible with the hopes that they do more than give a single pump, they also give some form of benefit or keyword.
If you have suggestions for any future deck ideas (or want to request a specific card to build around), let me know in the comments. Hope you enjoy it!
