How does this combo work?

Put a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.

Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.

When the Eldrazi Spawn enters the battlefield, Pious Evangel triggers if it is on the battlefield, causing you to gain 1 life.

If Wayward Disciple is on the battlefield, activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding . Wayward Disciple then triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and an opponent to lose 1 life.

Archangel of Thune triggers either from the lifegain in step 3 or 4, putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
