Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Defeat Invasion of Alara, triggering it, causing you to exile it and cast Awaken the Maelstrom. |
2 | Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying . |
3 | When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, it triggers, copying Awaken the Maelstrom, targeting Dualcaster Mage. |
4 | Resolve the copy of Awaken the Maelstrom, causing a player to draw two cards, then allowing you to put an artifact card from your hand onto the battlefield, then creating a token copy of Dualcaster Mage, then putting three +1/+1 counters on creature(s) you control, and then destroying a permanent an opponent controls. |
5 | Repeat from step 3. |
