Cut-Rate Commander - Episode 21 - Featuring Volo, Guide to Monsters
Volo, Guide to Monsters has taken a break from writing his latest book to join us on this weeks episode of Cut-Rate Commander.

We're going to be going full gimmick this time around - going all in on Volo's restriction by creating a Anti-Tribal build that is creature heavy and has no overlap with creature types. That means we're going to be running the best specimens (within our budget of course) of many different creature types, ranging from ETB Effects, Attack & Damage Triggers, Static Abilities, or just Huge Stat-Block's. But since Volo is just a squishy human, we'll need to put extra care in keeping him alive, as his mere presence is enough to make our opponents quake in their boots even before we start doubling up our creatures - so we'll be running plenty of pays to make him un-targetable, regenerate him, and even flat out stop spells that would otherwise kill him or dismantle our boardstate - keeping Volo alive for as long as possible to continue to flood the board with copied of our unique menagerie.
