Welcome to episode 213 of the Commander's Guild: "Don't Get Addicted to Shuffling" Every week I go to scryfall.com and randomly select a card, making a budget (under $100) commander deck around it and showcasing a gameplay video of the deck. This week I'm joined by Jason, Doodle, and Cole.
This week's random card is River Song and she's also the commander. River Song is a super unique commander, punishing our opponents for just playing their decks while also letting us draw from the bottom of our library. By acting as a pseudo group-hug deck we can lull our opponents into a false sense of security while River Song slowly burns them out of the game.
