    What do I need to start this combo?

    • Hammerhead on the battlefield.
    • Dualcaster Mage and Afterlife from the Loam in hand.
    • {1}{r}{r} plus enough mana and/or cards in your graveyard to cast Afterlife from the Loam available

  • Steps

    How does this combo work?

    • 1
      Cast Afterlife from the Loam by paying at most {5}{b}{b}{b}.
    • 2
      Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying {1}{r}{r}.
    • 3
      When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, it triggers, targeting Afterlife from the Loam.
    • 4
      Holding priority, activate Hammerhead by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
    • 5
      Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Afterlife from the Loam, targeting Dualcaster Mage and any other creature(s) as desired.
    • 6
      Resolve the copy of Afterlife from the Loam, returning the targeted creatures from your graveyard to the battlefield.
    • 7
      Repeat from step 3.
