How does this combo work?

2 | Myr Battlesphere triggers, creating four 1/1 colorless Myr artifact creature tokens. |
3 | Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a Myr token, adding one mana of any color. |
4 | Repeat step 3 an additional time. |
5 | Repeat. |
