Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Chord of Calling by paying at most , searching your library for Wormfang Drake and putting it onto the battlefield. |
2 | When Wormfang Drake enters, it and Preston trigger. |
3 | Resolve the Wormfang Drake trigger, exiling another creature if needed. |
4 | Resolve the Preston trigger, creating a token copy of Wormfang Drake that is a 0/1 Illusion. |
5 | When the Wormfang Drake token enters, it triggers, exiling the nontoken Wormfang Drake. |
6 | Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Wormfang Drake token |
7 | When the Wormfang Drake token dies, it triggers, returning Wormfang Drake from exile to the battlefield. |
8 | Repeat from step 2. |
