Ratchet, Field Medic // Ratchet, Rescue Racer must be on the battlefield (as Ratchet, Rescue Racer). Sculpting Steel must be in hand. Ashes of the Abhorrent must be on the battlefield. Ratchet, Field Medic // Ratchet, Rescue Racer must be your commander. Mana needed: plus enough mana to pay for commander tax, if applicable

Steps

1. Cast Sculpting Steel by paying , causing it to enter the battlefield as a copy of Ratchet, Rescue Racer.
2. Put Ratchet into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. Choose to return Ratchet to the command zone from your graveyard.
4. Sculpting Steel triggers, failing to convert it.
5. Cast Ratchet from the command zone as Ratchet, Field Medic by paying plus commander tax, if applicable.
6. Gain any amount of life.
7. Ratchet, Field Medic triggers, converting itself.
8. Put Ratchet into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
9. Choose not to return Ratchet to the command zone from your graveyard.
10. Ratchet, Field Medic and Ashes of the Abhorrent trigger.
11. Resolve the Ratchet, Field Medic trigger, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
12. Resolve the Ashes of the Abhorrent trigger, causing you to gain 1 life.
13. Repeat from step 7.
