Game Knights recently posted a new gameplay video, and EDHREC got in on the action! This match features a staggering ten-person Commander pod, and some of EDHREC's coolest personalities feature prominently in the game.

What were we playing? How did this match go down without being gummed up by its sheer size? And who won? Well, for that last question, you'll have to watch the video on YouTube, but read on for more details!

EDHREC's Participation

Three personalities represented EDHREC in a big way during this game:

Jaheira, Friend of the Forest
Agent of the Iron Throne
Coram, the Undertaker
Errant and Giada

How Game Knights Achieved a Ten-Person Pod

Normally, managing to wrangle ten people into a Commander pod is difficult enough, much less managing to complete a game like that. However, Game Knights had one twist that could revolutionize the concept of giant games: The Bag of Doom!

The main idea of the Bag of Doom is that it's a means to keep every player actively involved. Each player's name is placed into a bag. One is selected at the end of the fourth turn cycle and at the end of each turn cycle following.

Selected players lose the game; but there is a way out! If life is lost during your turn before the name is randomly selected, your name is removed from the bag until a player loses due to this random selection.

This causes the game to go a lot faster than players may expect, and in this context, allows players to add another political aspect to their game plan. For instance, Rachel Weeks withheld sacrificing a Wooded FoothillsWooded Foothills until another player's turn, thereby removing that player from the Bag of Doom.

Shenanigans such as these make the game much more fluid, and exciting to boot!

Conclusion

We won't spoil the outcome. You can watch the full gameplay video below to see who won!

And now, let's open the floor to you, dear readers! Who are you rooting for while you're watching Game Knights' new video? Also, have you ever participated in a Commander game of over six players? How did this go for you? Sound off in the comments below!
