Normally I'd give a little blurb on all of them, but since there are so darn many (379, to be exact), I'll only be discussing rares and mythics of the non-main set; the rest will still get a grade at the bottom. There's also one "Can't-Miss Pick" per article, which is my most confident selection.

This effect isn't bad, but it's best suited to a card in the 99. Also, adding the adjective "hapless" to a commander's title somewhat undercuts its appeal.

Nah, just kidding. Edric, Spymaster of TrestEdric, Spymaster of Trest is way better. To be fair, Fury does draw cards and cast spells, both of which are undeniably useful. However, five mana is pushing it in today's day-and-age of efficiency, and it'll take more to make a mono-white commander stand out.

A neat card, but I think she'll suffer from the lack of name-brand recognition enjoyed by her son.

If mono-white low-mana-value Hero-reanimator becomes a thing, we'll know that Magic has truly jumped the shark (if it hasn't already).

This doesn't multiply as fast as Scute SwarmScute Swarm, but it does have the same exponential effect. It takes a while to get going, but if you use a noncreature spell to cast the Council — say, Sol RingSol Ring —y ou can get them going immediately. Furthermore, the legend-rule-doesn’t-apply text is fun, as evidenced by Sakashima of a Thousand FacesSakashima of a Thousand Faces.

Quite similar to Dreadhorde ArcanistDreadhorde Arcanist. Problem is, Arcanist appears in less than one percent of Commander decks.

The noncreature spell thing is barely a drawback, since that's most of what you're casting in blue, anyway. Furthermore, blue offers plenty of blink, which lets you reset the TimetwisterTimetwister Power-up effect. Combine it with Narset, Parter of VeilsNarset, Parter of Veils and you might actually make an opponent or two cry.

Hope I'm not going too hard on the Iron Man thing, because I kind of dig this one, too. Like, if you untap and cast a Kappa CannoneerKappa Cannoneer, you're going to be a happy camper — or super hero, as it were. Problem is, five mana's a lot to invest on a juicy target without so much as ward.

These stats are slightly below rate, but in exchange, we get a free 2/2, plus a passive ability that threatens to Fireball your opponents from nowhere, especially with enough self-mill, which black provides plenty of.
