Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Puppeteer Clique. |
2 | When Puppeteer Clique dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. |
3 | Thran Vigil and Puppeteer Clique trigger. |
4 | Resolve the Thran Vigil trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Puppeteer Clique. |
5 | Resolve the Puppeteer Clique trigger, allowing you to put a creature card from an opponent's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control. |
6 | Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability |
7 | Repeat. |
