What do I need to start this combo?
- All permanents on the battlefield.
- Thornbite Staff attached to Fain.
- Fain does not have summoning sickness. You control at least one additional artifact.
Steps
How does this combo work?
- 1Activate Fain's third ability by tapping it and sacrificing another artifact, creating a 2/1 Inkling creature token.
- 2Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing the Inkling.
- 3When the Inkling dies, Fain and Pitiless Plunderer trigger.
- 4Resolve the Fain trigger, untapping it.
- 5Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer trigger, creating a Treasure token.
- 6Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to the Inkling's power.
- 7Repeat.
