Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of your library from the battlefield. |
2 | If the persist or undying creature does not have a -1/-1 or +1/+1 counter on it, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature, adding |
3 | When the creature dies, its persist or undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with either a -1/-1 or +1/+1 counter on it. |
4 | Cast Sensei's Divining Top from the top of your library by paying  and removing the +1/+1 or -1/-1 counter from the persist or undying creature. |
5 | Repeat. |
