How does this combo work?

Cast Abdel Adrian either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 4 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2
Abdel Adrian enters the battlefield, triggering itself and Cadric.
3
Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, choosing not to exile anything.

Resolve the Cadric trigger, causing you to pay 1 to create a token copy of Abdel Adrian with haste.
5
The Abdel Adrian token enters the battlefield, exiling the nontoken Abdel Adrian until the token Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.

Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing the token Abdel Adrian, adding .

The token Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, causing the nontoken Abdel Adrian to return to the battlefield from exile.
