What do I need to start this combo?
- The Balrog in the command zone.
- Phyrexian Altar and Pawn of Ulamog on the battlefield.
- The Balrog must be your commander.
- There have been a number of permanents sacrificed this turn equal to five plus The Balrog's commander tax.

Steps
How does this combo work?
- 1Cast The Balrog from the command zone by paying.
- 2Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing The Balrog, adding.
- 3Choose to return The Balrog to the command zone from your graveyard.
- 4When The Balrog dies, it and Pawn of Ulamog trigger.
- 5Resolve the Balrog trigger, destroying any artifact and/or creature an opponent controls.
- 6Resolve the Pawn of Ulamog trigger, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.
- 7Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Eldrazi Spawn, adding.
- 8Repeat.
