Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Give Hornet Nest indestructible, if needed. |
2 | Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control. |
3 | Halana triggers, causing you to pay to have that creature deal damage equal to its power to Hornet Nest. |
4 | Hornet Nest triggers, causing you to create a number of 1/1 Insect creature tokens equal to the damage dealt. |
5 | When the Insect(s) enters the battlefield, Halana triggers that many times. |
6 | Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing an Insect, adding . |
7 | Resolve the Halana trigger, causing you to pay to deal 1 damage to Hornet Nest. |
8 | Repeat from step 4. |
