Steps
How does this combo work?
- 1Give Hornet Nest indestructible, if needed.
- 2Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
- 3Halana triggers, causing you to pay to have that creature deal damage equal to its power to Hornet Nest.
- 4Hornet Nest triggers, causing you to create a number of 1/1 Insect creature tokens equal to the damage dealt.
- 5When the Insect(s) enters the battlefield, Halana triggers that many times.
- 6Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing an Insect, adding
. - 7Resolve the Halana trigger, causing you to pay to deal 1 damage to Hornet Nest.
