Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating a nonlegendary copy of Kodama. |
2 | Cast Acererak by paying . |
3 | Acererak enters the battlefield, triggering itself, Kodama and the Kodama token. |
4 | Resolve the nontoken Kodama trigger, choosing not to put anything on the battlefield. |
5 | Resolve the Acererak trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand and venturing into any dungeon except Tomb of Annihilation. |
6 | Resolve the token Kodama trigger, putting Acererak from your hand onto the battlefield. |
7 | Acererak enters the battlefield, triggering itself and the nontoken Kodama. |
8 | Resolve the Acererak trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand and venturing into any dungeon except Tomb of Annihilation. |
9 | Resolve the nontoken Kodama trigger, putting Acererak from your hand onto the battlefield. |
10 | Acererak enters the battlefield, triggering itself and the token Kodama. |
11 | Repeat from step 5. |
