Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Play a land card from your hand. |
2 | Kodama, Trench Behemoth and each Scute Swarm trigger. |
3 | If the land played was a basic land, you may activate it by tapping it, adding at least  . |
4 | Resolve the Kodama trigger, choosing to put nothing onto the battlefield from your hand. |
5 | Resolve the Trench Behemoth trigger, targeting any creature an opponent controls. |
6 | Resolve a Scute Swarm trigger, creating either a 1/1 Insect creature token or a token copy of Scute Swarm. |
7 | The creature token enters the battlefield, triggering Kodama. |
8 | Holding priority, activate Trench Behemoth by returning a land from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Trench Behemoth. |
9 | Resolve the Kodama trigger, putting a land onto the battlefield from your hand. |
10 | Trench Behemoth and each Scute Swarm trigger. |
11 | Repeat from step 5. |
