Spinerock Tyrant
Repudiate // Replicate
Prerequisites
What do I need to start this combo?
| Spinerock Tyrant and Creature that Returns an Instant or Sorcery from Graveyard to Hand on Entering on the battlefield. | |
| Repudiate // Replicate and Instant or Sorcery that Targets a Creature and Creates Treasure in hand. | |
Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Replicate by paying its mana cost targeting the creature that can recur spells. |
2 | When you cast that spell, Spinerock Tyrant triggers, copying Replicate and choosing Spinerock Tyrant as its target. |
3 | Resolve the copy of Replicate, creating a Spinerock Tyrant token. |
4 | Resolve the original Replicate, creating a token copy of the spell recursion creature. |
5 | When that token enters, it triggers, returning Repudiate // Replicate from your graveyard to your hand. |
6 | Repeat from step 1 one additional time, resulting in a total of five Spinerock Tyrants. |
7 | Cast the spell that creates a Treasure token by paying its mana cost, targeting any creature. |
8 | Each copy of Spinerock Tyrant triggers, copying that spell once for each Spinerock Tyrant you control. |
9 | Resolve all copies of that spell, creating at least one Treasure token each time. |
10 | Activate those Treasure tokens by tapping and sacrificing them, adding one mana per Treasure. |
11 | Cast Replicate by paying its mana cost targeting the spell recursion creature. |
12 | When you cast that spell, each copy of Spinerock Tyrant triggers, copying Replicate once for each Spinerock Tyrant and choosing the spell recursion creature once and Spinerock Tyrant as each additional spell's target. |
13 | Resolve all copies of that spell, creating two copies of the spell recursion creature and additional copies of Spinerock Tyrant. |
14 | When the first spell recursion creature token enters, it triggers, returning the spell that creates Treasure from your graveyard to your hand. |
15 | When the second spell recursion creature token enters, it triggers, returning Repudiate // Replicate from your graveyard to your hand. |
16 | Repeat from step 7. |
