How does this combo work?

2 | Play Selesnya Sanctuary. |
3 | When Selesnya Sanctuary enters, both Kodama of the East Trees and Selesnya Sanctuary trigger. |
4 | Resolve the nonlegendary Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield. |
5 | Resolve the Selesnya Sanctuary trigger, returning it to your hand. |
6 | Resolve the legendary Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Selesnya Sanctuary onto the battlefield. |
