Steps

1. Cast Crimson Kobolds by paying , plus an additional for its offspring cost.
2. When Crimson Kobolds enters the battlefield, it and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
3. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning nothing from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Crimson Kobolds trigger, creating a token copy of it that is 1/1.
5. When the Crimson Kobolds token enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning the nontoken Crimson Kobolds from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the token Crimson Kobolds, adding .
