Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Puppeteer Clique. |
2 | When Puppeteer Clique dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. |
3 | When Puppeteer Clique enters, it triggers, allowing you to put a creature card from an opponent's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control. |
4 | Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability. |
5 | Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Puppeteer Clique. |
6 | When Puppeteer Clique dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. |
7 | When Puppeteer Clique enters, it triggers, allowing you to put a creature card from an opponent's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control. |
8 | Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability. |
9 | Repeat. |
