How does this combo work?

2 | Cast Whim of Volrath with buyback by paying  , targeting Great Whale. |
3 | Orvar's first ability triggers, creating a token copy of Great Whale. |
4 | The Great Whale token enters the battlefield, untapping up to seven lands. |
5 | Resolve Whim of Volrath, returning it to your hand. |
6 | Repeat. |
7 | Once you have infinite mana, you can target any permanents you control in step 2 to create infinite token copies of them. |
