How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Ephemerate by paying , blinking Karmic Guide. |
2 | Karmic Guide enters the battlefield, triggering itself and Preston. |
3 | Resolve the Karmic Guide trigger, returning any creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. |
4 | Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Karmic Guide, adding . |
5 | Resolve the Preston trigger from step 2, creating a token copy of Karmic Guide that is a 0/1 white Illusion. |
6 | The Karmic Guide token enters the battlefield, returning the nontoken Karmic Guide from your graveyard to the battlefield. |
7 | Repeat from step 2. |
