Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Sculpting Steel by paying  , causing it to enter the battlefield as a copy of Ratchet, Rescue Racer. |
2 | Put Ratchet into your graveyard due to the legend rule. |
3 | Choose to return Ratchet to the command zone from your graveyard. |
4 | Sculpting Steel triggers, failing to convert it. |
5 | Cast Ratchet from the command zone as Ratchet, Field Medic by paying  plus commander tax, if applicable. |
6 | When Ratchet, Field Medic enters the battlefield, Ajani's Welcome triggers, causing you to gain one life. |
7 | Ratchet, Field Medic triggers, converting itself. |
8 | Put Ratchet into your graveyard due to the legend rule. |
9 | Choose not to return Ratchet to the command zone from your graveyard. |
10 | Ratchet, Field Medic triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield. |
11 | Repeat from step 6. |
