What do I need to start this combo?
| All permanents on the battlefield (Builder's Talent is level 2 or higher on the battlefield and Persist Creature without a -1/-1 counter on it on the battlefield). |
Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing the persist creature. |
2 | When the persist creature dies, its persist ability and Pitiless Plunderer trigger. |
3 | Resolve the persist creature trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. |
4 | Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer ability, creating a Treasure token. |
5 | When the Treasure token enters the battlefield, Builder's Talent's second ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature. |
6 | Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability. |
7 | Repeat. |
