Steps
How does this combo work?
| Cast Venser by paying plus commander tax if applicable. |
| When Venser enters, it triggers targeting any applicable target, and Confusion of the Ranks also triggers targeting a creature an opponent controls. |
| Resolve the Confusion of the Ranks trigger, exchanging control of Venser and the targeted creature. |
| Holding priority, cast Redirect Lightning by paying plus either or 5 life, changing the target of Venser's trigger to Venser. |
| Resolve Venser's ability, creating two token copies of it with haste. |
| Put all but one Venser token into your graveyard due to the legend rule. |
| The Venser tokens' abilities each trigger, with one trigger targeting the nontoken Venser and the other ability targeting any valid target. |
| Resolve the Venser ability not targeting Venser, creating two copies of the chosen permanent with haste. |
