Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Etali either from your hand or the command zone by paying plus commander tax if applicable. |
2 | When Etali enters, it triggers. |
3 | Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Etali. |
4 | When Etali dies, Yedora triggers, returning Etali from your graveyard to the battlefield face-down as a Forest land. |
5 | Holding priority, activate Etali by tapping it, adding . |
6 | Resolve the Etali trigger from step 2, exiling cards from the top of each library until each player has exiled a nonland card, and causing you to cast any number of those cards without paying its mana cost. |
7 | For each card cast, Toph's second ability triggers once. |
8 | Resolve the first Toph trigger, earthbending Etali. |
9 | Resolve any remaining triggers, earthbending any other lands you desire. If you do not want to earthbend other lands, target Etali with all remaining triggers. |
10 | Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Etali. |
11 | When Etali dies, Toph and Yedora trigger. |
12 | Resolve the Yedora trigger, choosing not to return Etali. |
13 | Resolve the Toph trigger, returning Etali from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped. |
14 | Repeat from step 2. |
