Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken Hydra that does not have Nim Deathmantle attached, adding . |
2 | When the Hydra dies, Polukranos and Nim Deathmantle trigger. |
3 | Resolve the Polukranos trigger, creating two 3/3 Phyrexian Hydra creature tokens. |
4 | Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a Phyrexian Hydra, adding . |
5 | Resolve the Nim Deathmantle trigger from step 2, causing you to pay  to return the nontoken Hydra from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it. |
6 | Repeat. |
