Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Whim of Volrath with buyback by paying  , targeting Spark Double. |
2 | Orvar triggers, creating a token copy of Spark Double that enters the battlefield as a nonlegendary token copy of Orvar. |
3 | Resolve Whim of Volrath, returning it to your hand. |
4 | Cast Whim of Volrath with buyback by paying , targeting any Island that enters the battlefield untapped. |
5 | Orvar, Spark Double and the Spark Double token trigger, creating three token copies of the Island. |
6 | Resolve Whim of Volrath, returning it to your hand. |
7 | Activate the Island tokens by tapping them, adding . |
8 | Repeat from step 4. |
9 | Optionally, you may repeat steps 1 through 3 one additional time to get infinite untapped Island tokens and blue mana. |
10 | If you choose to get infinite mana, you can then target any permanent using Whim of Volrath to get infinite tokens of them. |
