Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Cloudshift by paying , blinking Fiend Hunter. |
2 | Fiend Hunter enters the battlefield, triggering itself and Preston. |
3 | Resolve the Fiend Hunter trigger, choosing not to exile a creature. |
4 | Resolve the Preston trigger, creating a token copy of Fiend Hunter that is a 0/1 white Illusion. |
5 | The Fiend Hunter token enters the battlefield, exiling the nontoken Fiend Hunter. |
6 | Activate Phyrexian Altar sacrificing the Fiend Hunter token, adding one mana of any color. |
7 | The token dies, returning the nontoken Fiend Hunter from exile to the battlefield. |
8 | Repeat from step 2. |
