Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Abdel Adrian either from your hand or from the command zone by paying and commander tax, if applicable. |
2 | Abdel Adrian enters the battlefield, triggering itself and Cloudstone Curio. |
3 | Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling any six other nonland permanents you control except Cloudstone Curio, and creating six 1/1 Soldier creature tokens. |
4 | Each Soldier enters the battlefield, triggering Cloudstone Curio that many times. |
5 | Resolve the first Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning Abdel Adrian from the battlefield to your hand. |
6 | Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, causing all cards exiled with it to return to the battlefield. |
7 | If any nonartifact creatures were exiled by Abdel Adrian, they enter the battlefield, triggering Cloudstone Curio that many times. |
8 | Resolve all Cloudstone Curio triggers, choosing to return nothing from the battlefield to your hand. |
9 | Activate Phyrexian Altar five times by sacrificing five Soldier tokens, adding . |
10 | Repeat. |
