What do I need to start this combo?
- All permanents on the battlefield (Builder's Talent is level 2 or higher on the battlefield and Persist Creature without a -1/-1 counter on it on the battlefield).
Steps
How does this combo work?
- 1Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing the persist creature.
- 2When the persist creature dies, its persist ability and Pitiless Plunderer trigger.
- 3Resolve the persist creature trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
- 4Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer ability, creating a Treasure token.
- 5When the Treasure token enters the battlefield, Builder's Talent's second ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature.
- 6Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
- 7Repeat.
