Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Young Wolf |
2 | When Young Wolf dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. |
3 | Resolve the Phantom Train ability. |
4 | Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Young Wolf |
5 | When Young Wolf dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. |
6 | Young Wolf enters and dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness. Its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. |
7 | Resolve the Phantom Train ability from step 4. |
8 | Repeat from step 4. |
