The Mind Stone | Art by Volkan Baga
MagicCon Las Vegas 2026 is now officially underway! From previews and games to vendors and cosplay, MagicCon is a Magic lover's proverbial Mecca. And on Friday, May 1st, Wizards of the Coast showed their panelgoers a taste of some of the year's upcoming sets. Let's take a look at some of what was revealed earlier!
The Hobbit
We begin our adventure through the MagicCon Las Vegas 2026 preview panel with just that: an adventure. That's right, J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-Earth is back; this time, we get a look at The Hobbit! The Hobbit comes out in August 2026. Notably, this set brings us a caravanful of excitement in the form of multiple cards featuring Bilbo Baggins, Smaug, Gandalf, and the Dwarven party of Thorin Oakenshield himself. Of course, that's not to mention so many other characters we will encounter in the set as well. But hey, much like Tolkien himself, I may have prattled on a bit too long in the description department. Let's look at some of those previewed cards!
Marvel Super Heroes
Next, we get a look at Marvel Super Heroes, the set coming out in June of this year. Now, the Marvel Super Heroes previews have a number of things going for them. For instance, we get a look at The Mind Stone! No, not that Mind StoneMind Stone, The Mind Stone. Yes, yes, I know, it's got a "the", but it's a different property altogether; let's get with it! Here are the Marvel Super Heroes previews from MagicCon Las Vegas 2026.
Reality Fracture
Finally, let's look at some perfectly normal previews from what is definitely our own Multiver-
Oh? Did I not catch that correctly? What's an Echoverse?
Apologies, dear readers. The previews I'm about to show you primarily come from the Echoverse, a Multiversal offshoot variant created by the very mind of the megalomaniacal Planeswalker Jace BelerenJace Beleren himself. These are distinctly not to be confused with our own canonical Magic Multiverse, lest there be catastrophic consequences.
Most of the set revolves around an alternative Arcavios, namely the combat-mage school of Hexhaven University. Within Hexhaven, there are five colleges, each comprised of allied-color pairings. However, the set also doesn't solely give us peeks at Hexhaven or even Arcavios on the whole. Without diluting the experience of glorious, glorious spoilers, here are the cards revealed from Reality Fracture, releasing October 2026!
Conclusion
With that, that's all of the previews we extrapolated from the preview panel at this year's MagicCon Las Vegas! Hopefully, they satisfied the cravings for spoiler-y goodness that I know you all seem to seek around this time of year.
With that, let's open the floor to you, dear readers! Are you excited for any of the three sets previewed during the panel? Which one excites you the most? Sound off in the comments below!

Beyond this, they're a scholar of the Sweeney Todd urban legend, a fan of monster-taming RPGs, and a filthy Aristocrats player.
