<h2>I've Been Expecting You, Readers</h2>
<p>Greetings, my fellow bad guys (girls, and all others). Today, we're going to pull off the ultimate scheme. Why, a plan to rule the world, of course! With this deck tech, we can make everyone's lives miserable as we connive our ultimate victory. See them being driven before us, and to hear the lamentations of their women (and everyone else). But, my minions, I'm getting ahead of myself. First, our commander:</p>

<p>Our evil plan involves getting our commander to attack, so he can create another minion to cause suffering and misery to the defending player. Also, said minion will not be legendary, so we're free to have a second (albeit temporary) copy of any legendary creature we'd like, barring <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Loki, the Deceiver" href="#" target="_blank">Loki, the Deceiver</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>.</p>
<p>And no, we're not talking about those yellow minions from the <em>Despicable Me</em> movies. They're too nice.</p>
<p>Each of our henchmen that punches an opponent nets us a card. Maybe we get to steal their wallet, too. Maybe we just don't wash our hands and poke them. Why? Because we're evil.</p>
<h3>The Injustice League</h3>

<p>But, in order to rule the world, we need to gather a roster of our best friends together. Especially to help beat those so-called "<em>Avengers</em>." What are they "avenging," anyway? Their stolen lunch money? Ha!</p>
<p>Anyways, my delectable minions, we have friends like <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Doctor Octopus, Master Planner" href="#" target="_blank">Doctor Octopus, Master Planner</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> and <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Tombstone, Career Criminal" href="#" target="_blank">Tombstone, Career Criminal</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>, both coming from a set around that poor little crybaby named <em>Spider-Man</em>. One bolsters our retinue a fair bit while drawing us new cards, and the other helps recruit them by reducing their casting cost. Also, recurring a fallen ally doesn't hurt either, especially while we plot...I mean connive a new scheme.</p>
<p>Speaking of Villain support, <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Madame Hydra" href="#" target="_blank">Madame Hydra</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> recruits new henchmen to our cause, but they're expendable. Just shove them in the way of someone trying to raid our evil hideout. Unless they're bolstered, of course. Meanwhile, <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Mysterio, Master of Illusion" href="#" target="_blank">Mysterio, Master of Illusion</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> will help prepare us to rob a bank, and maybe someone's sock drawer.</p>
<p>Surely, <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Ultron, Unlimited" href="#" target="_blank">Ultron, Unlimited</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> will get bigger as we scheme and help amass an army of evil Robots to do our bidding. Say, maybe he can learn something from the Cybermen from <em>Doctor Who</em>.</p>
<h3>Endless Conniving</h3>

<p>On top of our delightful robberies and evilness, we have to plan. And plan we will, through the connive mechanic. What's a good villain who doesn't connive? There are none! Even <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Norman Osborn" href="#" target="_blank">Norman Osborn</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> knows this. That's why he can't be blocked. He's a totally legitimate businessman until we flip (or cast) him into his other half, who will help and enable us to cast from our graveyard to cause some mayhem. <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Moonstone, Harsh Mistress" href="#" target="_blank">Moonstone, Harsh Mistress</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> is another who can pull this off, too.</p>
<p>Then, we have the great and majestic <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Doctor Doom, King of Latveria" href="#" target="_blank">Doctor Doom, King of Latveria</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>, who lets us benefit from discarding our lands by torturing our opponents with his drain effect. Hear them scream for a mercy they'll never get! On top of that, he has one of our friends become a menace, letting them connive before going in to mug an opponent.</p>
<p>Lastly, let us not forget <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Leader, Super-Genius" href="#" target="_blank">Leader, Super-Genius</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> and <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="M.O.D.O.K., Evil Intellect" href="#" target="_blank">M.O.D.O.K., Evil Intellect</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>. The former gets a minion to connive, but lets us draw an extra card when we do. Value! On the other hand, the latter forces our hapless foes into a villainous choice, as they must sacrifice a nontoken creature when we draw our second card each turn.</p>

<h3>Thwarting the Enemy</h3>

<p>As we can see, I assembled this deck using only cards from the <em>Marvel </em>slate of releases to maximize on the villainy. One payoff to all of our scheming is <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Abomination, World Ravager" href="#" target="_blank">Abomination, World Ravager</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>, who will demolish our enemies in no time, ragdolling them before slamming them against the wall. <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Titania, Proud Pummeler" href="#" target="_blank">Titania, Proud Pummeler</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> will have us spread out our attacks, but rewards us by making our henchmen into hard-hitters. Similarly, <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="The Squadron Sinister" href="#" target="_blank">The Squadron Sinister</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> ensures they can fly and attack right away while making them stronger.</p>
<p>While not as flashy as his main set version, <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Thanos, Death&#039;s Consort" href="#" target="_blank">Thanos, Death&#039;s Consort</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> will be threatening lethal in no time. With <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Red Ghost, Intangible Genius" href="#" target="_blank">Red Ghost, Intangible Genius</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>, we can go bananas on those foolish "heroes" by throwing villainous apes at them. <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Raise the Palisade" href="#" target="_blank">Raise the Palisade</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> helps with our evil scheme by clearing the way of any resistance while we go in for the kill.</p>
<p>With all of these tools, and our brilliant minds, all the instruments for our devious plans are in place.</p>
<h3> The Greatest Triumph</h3>
<p>In the end, those whiny heroes have been defeated, and we emerge victorious! Mwahahaha! Well, at least until the next game.</p>
