Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing the persist creature. |
2 | The sacrificed creature's persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. |
3 | The Great Henge triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature and causing you to draw a card. |
4 | The -1/-1 and +1/+1 counters are removed as a state-based action. |
5 | Resolve the ability from step 1. |
6 | Repeat. |
