What do I need to start this combo?
| Etali in hand or in the command zone. | |
| All other permanents on the battlefield. | |
| Hua Tuo does not have summoning sickness. Thornbite Staff attached to Hua Tuo. "Elder" or "Dinosaur" chosen with Mirror of the Forebears. It is your precombat main phase. | |

Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | Cast Etali either from your hand or from the command zone by paying  plus commander tax, if applicable. |
2 | When Etali enters the battlefield, it triggers. |
3 | Holding priority, activate Mirror of the Forebears by paying  , choosing to have it become a copy of Etali until end of turn. |
4 | Choose to put Etali into your graveyard due to the legend rule. |
5 | If Etali is your commander, choose not to return it to the command zone from your graveyard. |
6 | Hua Tuo triggers, untapping itself. |
7 | Activate Hua Tuo by tapping it, putting Etali on top of your library from your graveyard. |
8 | Resolve the Etali trigger from step 2, causing you to exile cards from each player's library until you exile a nonland card, with you exiling Etali from your library, and cast Etali and any other nonland cards exiled this way without paying their mana costs. |
9 | Choose to put Etali into your graveyard due to the legend rule. |
10 | If Etali is your commander, choose not to return it to the command zone from your graveyard. |
11 | Etali enters-the-battlefield ability and Hua Tuo trigger. |
12 | Resolve the Hua Tuo trigger, untapping it. |
13 | Repeat from step 7. |
