Secrets of Strixhaven and Marvel Super Heroes Products Revealed

Lorehold, the Historian | Art by Raymond Swanland

On Tuesday, Wizards of the Coast unveiled the new sealed products for two upcoming sets. These sets are Secrets of Strixhaven and Marvel Super Heroes. This particular set of previews was revealed at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany. With that, let's look at some of the revealed information, which includes a few preview cards!

Secrets of Strixhaven

For starters, let's look at Secrets of Strixhaven, out on April 24th. Wizards of the Coast revealed the following products at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Some of these may seem obvious, but it's simply good to know that they're continuing:

  • Play Boosters (MSRP: $5.49 per pack)
  • Collector Boosters (MSRP: $26.99 per pack)
  • Draft Night (MSRP: $89.99)
  • Bundle (MSRP: $57.99)
  • Codex Bundle (MSRP: $89.99)
  • Commander Decks (MSRP: $49.99 per deck)

We expect you have a few questions. For one, what in the world is a Codex Bundle? And, how many Commander decks are featuring in MTGSOS? We can easily answer both of those questions for you!

The Codex Bundle, a similar product to Gift Bundles and the like, contains six Play Boosters, two Collector Boosters, and a Codex Booster. Like the Avatar: The Last Airbender Gift Bundles' innovation, the Codex Booster contains two cards out of a possible six in the following subset of cards:

Secrets of Strixhaven Codex Bundle promos.

While this group of cards isn't the most exciting subset of promos ever, the Talisman cycle and Sol RingSol Ring are still used quite frequently in Commander decks across the board. And speaking of Commander decks...

There is no confirmation that Quintorius KandQuintorius Kand will be a planeswalker commander in the Lorehold Spirit deck, but we'll surely find out soon!

MTGSOS Previews

There were a couple of cards previewed within Secrets. These previews also include one from the new iteration of the Mystical Archive. Let's take a look!

Lorehold, the Historian, a card from Secrets of Strixhaven. Mathemagics, a card from Secrets of Strixhaven. Stock Up, a card from Secrets of Strixhaven's Mystical Archive, previously from Aetherdrift. The Japanese version of Stock Up, a card from Secrets of Strixhaven's Mystical Archive, previously from Aetherdrift.

Naturally, we'd like to know if the Japanese Foil Etched cards in this set's Mystical Archive are a bit more standout than the ones from Strixhaven proper. Again, we'll know when we see more from the set!

Marvel Super Heroes

This brings us to the next set in the queue. Marvel Super Heroes comes out on June 26th. It contains the following products (shown here with MSRP included):
