How does this combo work?
1 | Activate an Island by tapping it, adding . |
2 | Cast High Tide by paying , creating a delayed triggered ability that adds whenever an Island is tapped for mana this turn. |
3 | Activate four Islands by tapping them, adding . |
4 | High Tide's delayed trigger triggers four times, adding an additional . |
5 | Cast Scholar of the Ages by paying  . |
6 | Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, triggering itself, returning High Tide from your graveyard to your hand. |
7 | Cast High Tide by paying , creating a second delayed triggered ability. |
8 | Activate two Islands by tapping them, adding . |
9 | High Tide delayed triggers trigger a combined total of four times, adding an additional . |
10 | Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying  , blinking an Island and Scholar of the Ages. |
11 | Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, triggering itself, returning High Tide and Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand. |
12 | Repeat from step 7, except that you activate only one Island in step 8 and trigger an increasing number of High Tide delayed triggered abilities in step 9. |
