<p>Long time readers of mine will know that my favorite commander is none other than <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Shadrix Silverquill" href="#" target="_blank">Shadrix Silverquill</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>, so it truly is an honor that I get to build a deck around his Echoverse substitute, <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Ingris Stingerquill" href="#" target="_blank">Ingris Stingerquill</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>.</p>
<p>My name is <a href="https://linktr.ee/pillowfortmtg">Tyler 'Savesya' Bucks</a>, and today I get to show off a truly aggressive 99 built around this Elder Sphinx that you can pick up for about $40 (excluding the price of the commander, since it just got revealed this week). Let's kick things off by getting to know the commander of the deck a little bit better!</p>
<h2>What Does Ingris Stingerquill Bring to the Table?</h2>

<p>The Hexhaven college that <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Ingris Stingerquill" href="#" target="_blank">Ingris Stingerquill</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> leads is all about vicious responses and cutting remarks, which is captured perfectly on this Sphinx's textbox. The goal for this deck is to send creatures into combat, and deal as much damage in a single turn as possible. That plan can get off the ground as early as turn three, so as you look over this Bracket 2 list, you'll see a lot of low-to-the-ground threats that are poised and ready to be sent towards people's faces.</p>
<p>If you ever get to a point where you're looking for an outlet for all your mana, Ingris has that second activated ability that shouldn't be overlooked. Making a token and giving your entire team haste can simply lead you to a win out of nowhere! This deck's goal is to send creatures into combat and lower people's life totals in more ways than one. So, with that in mind, let's get started by looking at just a few examples of the cards that will help with that plan.</p>
<h2>Lowering Life Totals</h2>

<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Sanguine Syphoner" href="#" target="_blank">Sanguine Syphoner</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: There are several creatures like this Vampire in the deck that drain the table as they attack. They all can come down before Ingris, which means that you'll be lowering life totals and buffing up your own right away.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Shocking Sharpshooter" href="#" target="_blank">Shocking Sharpshooter</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: The main goal of this deck is to flood the board with creatures in order to send them into combat, so pingers like this will help deal even more damage when members of your team simply enter play.</li>

Once you get to that point, you'll be adding one additional damage to each point of pain you dish out.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Hawkeye, Young Avenger" href="#" target="_blank">Hawkeye, Young Avenger</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Here's an uncommon from the <em>Marvel</em> set that really powers up this deck. Even if you only attack with one creature, you'll deal three damage to each opponent when you have this Hero and your commander in play.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Raising Your Own Life Total</h2>
<p>Something great about <span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Ingris Stingerquill" href="#" target="_blank">Ingris Stingerquill</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span> is that the pinging ability is given to that creature itself when it attacks, which means that if you swing with a lifelinker, it's the one that's dealing one damage to each opponent, gaining you that much life in return. Here are just a few of the creatures with lifelink that make up this deck.</p>

<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Alchemist&#039;s Assistant" href="#" target="_blank">Alchemist&#039;s Assistant</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: While this creature's low toughness may seem like a downside, the fact that you can pay two in order to hand a lifelink counter to another one of your powerful creatures means that you can continue this tricky lifegain interaction even from the grave.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Morlun, Devourer of Spiders" href="#" target="_blank">Morlun, Devourer of Spiders</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Here's a great mana sink that can straight up take a player out of the game if their life total is low enough, while still being a big beater that you can send into combat once the dust settles.</li>

<h2>Card Advantage</h2>

<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Garna, Bloodfist of Keld" href="#" target="_blank">Garna, Bloodfist of Keld</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Since the whole goal with this deck is to send creatures into combat, you're probably going to be losing a few as the game goes on. Getting a replacement card for each attacker that bites the dust will help you keep up with the rest of the table.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Elegy Acolyte" href="#" target="_blank">Elegy Acolyte</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Here's a creature that I'm very happy is in the budget range, since it not only provides you with a good amount of card advantage, but it also creates a Robot if something leaves your battlefield at the end of your turn.</li>

Bouncing something unblocked back to your hand, and then drawing seven could just be what pushes you towards a win.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Bloodsoaked Insight" href="#" target="_blank">Bloodsoaked Insight</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Lowering people's life totals is the plan, which means that this half-land half-spell could be cast for only two mana. Stealing someone else's creature with a cool attack trigger will make for a fun story to tell after your game wraps up!</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Gollum, Scheming Guide" href="#" target="_blank">Gollum, Scheming Guide</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: How good is your poker face? Well, even if it's not <em>that</em> great, this silly little guy is a free attacker that could possibly draw you a card turn after turn.</li>

<h2>Saving Creatures from Death</h2>

Since you're looking to attack constantly, Alesha can bring threats back over and over again.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Nullpriest of Oblivion" href="#" target="_blank">Nullpriest of Oblivion</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Here's a creature that fits really well into the curve of this deck. It can come down the turn before your commander, in order to get sent into combat, or it can bring something useful back in the late game if you pay the kicker.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Ares, God of War" href="#" target="_blank">Ares, God of War</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: If you ever get into a situation where you're reluctant to attack, due to someone having strong defenses, then this Villain can come down and allow you to swing freely into danger!</li>
</ul>

<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Unearth" href="#" target="_blank">Unearth</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Most of the creatures in this deck cost three or less mana, including your commander. Which means that this spell could bring back almost any key team member when you need it the most.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Ghost Lantern" href="#" target="_blank">Ghost Lantern</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Here's another card that plays double duty in this deck, since it can return a creature from your bin to your hand. Plus, it can be equipped to a creature in order to help it grow with counters over time.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Undying Malice" href="#" target="_blank">Undying Malice</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: As the game goes on, Ingris is going to most likely become a lightning rod for removal. So, it might be a good idea to hold up one mana in order to save your game plan as other people take their turns.</li>

<h2>Mana Ramp</h2>

This mana dork is a great one, since it helps you cast more spells, or can attack forward from time to time since it has a higher toughness.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Solemn Simulacrum" href="#" target="_blank">Solemn Simulacrum</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: Here's a creature that comes down the turn after Ingris, finds you a land, and then can be sent into combat in order to die and draw you a card. That's a lot of solid value for this list.</li>
<li><span class="edhrecp__link"><a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Charming Scoundrel" href="#" target="_blank">Charming Scoundrel</a><span class="edhrecp__link-image"></span></span>: While this Rogue doesn't provide you with long-term ramp, it does offer up several useful abilities, on a hasty body. Plus, since your commander is three full pips, that Treasure could help fix your mana on turn two in order to cast Ingris on curve the following turn.</li>
