Steps
How does this combo work?
1 | At the beginning of your upkeep, Delaying Shield triggers. |
2 | Holding priority, if Delaying Shield has any delay counters on it, activate Resourceful Defense by paying , moving the delay counters from Delaying Shield onto Resourceful Defense. |
3 | Resolve the Delaying Shield trigger, doing nothing. |
4 | While Delaying Shield is on the battlefield, all damage that would be dealt to you is replaced by putting that many counters on Delaying Shield instead. |
5 | Repeat each turn as necessary. |
